. . . Polygonum 80 happens to be one of the formulas which I, myself, use regularly. This formula is used by professional athletes under my care as well as Kidney-deficient people, frequently elders, and the overworked. For myself, I started with a teaspoon daily and noticed an increase in energy and a feeling of overall vitality. It is not a wiry, caffeine-like buzz. I sometimes cut back to a half teaspoon when I feel it too much because as you know, abundant energy lacking a mission can stagnate.

Polygonum (he shou wu) is a fantastic, fantastic, herb; unfortunately it is rarely prescribed in large enough doses or taken over a long enough period of time to be effective. Tonic herbs, are super potent foods and should be an integral part of a daily diet (if suited for the individual) - especially for the elderly.

I compete in intense sporting activities and compensate for my proficiency xu, with a high infusion of energy and determination. I’ll take the herbs. I’ve been taking them for years and I see them as simply a part of my diet - and at half the cost of a cup of coffee, I save money too.

From my experience, it is clear that a manufactured pill or powder concentrate will rarely do anything significant, if anything at all. If I had to work all day in a rice field far from home, I might have some herbal pills with me; otherwise, forget it.

Fresh teas and fresh liquid concentrates are high octane fuel, and when I use regular instead, I notice a difference.
